REELAX monitors limited user activity data solely for its core functionality:

• Scroll behavior monitoring: Tracks continuous scrolling duration on web pages
• Scroll event detection: Detects when users are actively scrolling

This data is processed locally in real-time and is never stored, transmitted, or shared.

Information We Don't Collect

Despite monitoring scroll activity, REELAX explicitly does not collect:

• Browsing history or visited websites
• Personal information (name, email, age, etc.)
• Location data or IP addresses
• Keystroke logging or mouse movements (beyond scrolling)
• Website content or page data
• Authentication credentials or passwords
• Financial or payment information
• Health or biometric data

Local Data Storage

REELAX stores only one piece of information locally on your device:

• Scroll Time Threshold: Your preferred time limit setting (1-60 minutes)
• Challenge Status: Whether the scroll monitoring is currently active

This data is stored using Chrome's local storage API and never leaves your device. It cannot be accessed by our servers or any third parties.

How REELAX Works

The extension operates entirely locally on your device:

• Monitors scrolling duration on web pages
• Displays an overlay when your set threshold is reached
• Resets the timer when you dismiss the overlay
• All processing happens in your browser

Permissions Explained

Storage Permission

Used exclusively to remember your scroll time preference between browser sessions.

Active Tab Permission

Allows communication between the popup and content script to start/stop monitoring.

Content Scripts (<all_urls>)

Enables scroll monitoring across all websites to detect excessive scrolling patterns. No data from these sites is collected or transmitted.

Third-Party Services

REELAX does not integrate with any third-party services, analytics platforms, or external APIs. The extension is completely self-contained.

Data Sharing

Since we don't collect any data, there is nothing to share. REELAX operates in complete isolation on your device.

Your Rights

You have complete control over REELAX:

• Disable or uninstall the extension at any time
• Modify your scroll time threshold settings
• Turn the monitoring on or off as needed

Updates to This Policy

Any changes to this privacy policy will be reflected in updated versions of the extension and posted at this URL. Given our no-data-collection approach, policy changes will be minimal.
